The Kuchi Dog
The Kuchi dog or Dog is a unique canine in military thriller and police fiction, but in many ways, he mirrors the life and characteristics of Jackson Wade; He’s a dominant physical force; he adjusts to new circumstances; he’s focused; he believes in frontier-justice, and he does not like to be touched.
Dog’s relationship with Jackson Wade is modeled from three movies: A Boy and his Dog (1975), Hondo (1953), and Big Jake (1971). Unlike the well-trained, disciplined, and dedicated canines that serve under their handlers in the complex military and police environments; Dog becomes his Alpha and takes orders from no man or beast.
But, What further sets Dog apart from other fictional canines is an innate ability to communicate with his kind through mind-talk, and the means to exchange and feel the thoughts of humans.
